HOCKEY CHANDIGARH XI BOUNCE BACK INTO THE GAME
INDIA NAVY , PUNJAB & SINDH BANK AND DAKSHIN BHARAT ALSO RECORDED VICTORY IN THEIR GAMES

On the 2nd day of the tournament today Hockey Chandigarh XI trounced Eastern Railway by 6-2. Till first half Eastern Railway was leading with 2-0. Aijub Ekka scored the first goal in 5th minute itself for Eastern Railway. Ten minutes later team mate Taran Deep Singh scored another goal in the 15thminute for of the match. But this victory was short lived. Chandigarh XI fought back ferociously and scored 06 goals in a row. Amandeep scored 03 goals, Jatin Kumar 02 goals and Arshdeep Singh scored one goal for Hockey Chandigarh XI.
In the second match Punjab & Sind Bank beat Kerala & Karnataka Area by 4-2. Till half time Punjab & Sind Bank was leading by 1-0. The goal was scored by Gagan Preet Singh in the 21stminute for Punjab & Sind Bank. Subsequently Kerala & Karnataka Area gave tough fight. Rajnish Salaria and Deepak Pal scored one goal each for Kerala & Karnataka Area. But Gagan Preet Singh and Jaskaran Singh together scored three more goals for Punjab & Sind Bank and won the match by 4-2.
In third match Indian Navy defeated Guru Govind Sing College Lucknow ( GGSC) by 6-0 . GGSC is a team comprising players under 17 years. They have exhibited tremendous skill in this tournament. Though the result indicates one sided game but GGSC boys’ performance was a spectator’s delight.
In fourth Match Dakshin Bharat thrashed BSF by 6-1 Goals.
