350 Enrolment Certificates Distributes by Justice Vinod S. Bhardwaj, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court

Hon’ble Mr. Justice Hon’ble Vinod S Bhardwaj Hon’ble Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court graced the occasion as Chief Guest and distributed 350 Enrolment certificates after administrating oath to the newly enrolled advocates in the convocation ceremony organized by Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana at Law Bhawan. His Lordship wishing them success in practice, motivated new entrants to take pride in themselves and uphold the dignity of the legal profession. His Lordship encouraged them to not be a rouge group rather be torch bearer of the institution upholding its dignity.

Justice Bhardwaj welcomed all the new entrants and his Lordship’s heartfelt addressal which brought great encouragement to the newly enrolled young lawyers to strive for excellence and to make a positive impact on society without adopting shortcuts.

Dr. Vijender Singh Ahlawat, Chairman, Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vinod S. Bhardwaj and advised the new entrants to maintain dignity and integrity of the noble legal profession.

Chetan Verma Vice Chairman, Karamjeet Singh Chaudhary Hony Secretary, Jai Vir Yadav, Chairman Executive Committee, C.M.Munjal, Chairman Finance Committee, Surinder Dutt Sharma, Chairman Verification Committee Haryana, Gurtej Singh Grewal, Chairman Election Committee, Punjab, Amit Rana, Chairman Sports Committee, Harpreet Singh Multani, Member Privilege committee and others Members of the Bar Council also graced the occasion amongst the presence of other Advocates as well as parents and guardians of the newly enrolled advocates who belong to different places of Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh. 

            His Lordship started independent practice in the year 2001. His Lordship remained as Additional Standing Counsel for the Union Territory, Chandigarh from the years 2003 to 2009. His Lordship also remained as Standing Counsel for the National Council for Teacher Education. His Lordship joined as Additional Advocate General, Haryana in the year 2010 and continued his term till 2014. His Lordship was immediately appointed as Additional Advocate General for the State of Punjab in the year 2014 and held the assignment up to the year 2017. His Lordship was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Punjab and Haryana High Court in May, 2021. His Lordship was elevated as an Additional Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court on October 29, 2021 and later got elevated as a permanent judge of the Hon’nble High Court on May 8th 2023.

Around 350 lawyers got themselves enrolled with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in their convocation ceremony today. The convocation ceremony is a momentous occasion, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of lawyers.

It is also pertinent to mention here that the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana was established under the Advocates Act 1961 and since its inception Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana has on its roll more than One lac fifty-seven thousand advocates.
