I, along with members of Peel Regional Police want to extend heartfelt condolences to the victims and families affected by the tragic collision that occurred on June 18, 2020, at Torbram Road and Countryside Drive in the City of Brampton.

I want to thank all first responders and community members who provided life-saving measures or rendered assistance and provided pertinent information as this tragedy unfolded.

I realize that these tragic incidents leave permanent scars, and it is during these times that we all need to provide support and compassion for everyone that has been affected.

As Chief, I have received inquiries from the community on how to provide video, witness accounts and other assistance, and I ask that all of this information be directed to the Special Investigations Unit through their website.

Given the overwhelming amount of information coming forward, I encourage the Special Investigations Unit to complete this investigation in an expedited manner.

As time progresses, be reassured that our organization will remain transparent and forthcoming as the parallel investigation continues with the Special Investigations Unit.

In addition, Peel Regional Police is responsible for conducting the investigation into this motor vehicle collision and pending further investigation, we expect that charges will be laid.
