AAP youth wing will start a drive to connect to the youth of Punjab from June 2, the party stands by its previous view on drug issue- Manjinder Singh Sidhu

The youth wing of Aam Aadmi Party will start state wide programme to connect the youth of the state from June 2. The meetings will be organized to attract youngsters to join politics and start a new era in the Indian political system.
Addressing the media at Chandigarh AAP youth wing president Manjinder Singh Sidhu, In-charge MLA Meet Hayer, in-charge youth wing organizational structure Vipul Puri, Malwa zone-1 president Sukhraj Singh Gora Ferozeshah, Malwa zone-2 president Amandeep Singh Mohi, Malwa zone-3 president Adv. Kuljinder Singh Dhindsa, Majha zone president Sukhraj Singh Bal and Doaba zone president Jaspreet Singh (Roby Kang) said that youngsters are the backbone of the nation and their involvement in the politics is vital for the future of state.
Manjinder Sidhu said that the previous governments since independents have ruined the youth of the state for their political purposes and drug trade has florished under the patronage of politicians. He said that AAP will visit every household and contact the youth to aware them about the unfulfilled promises of the previous and present govt. Sidhu said that youth wing will organize meeting from 2nd to 6th June at different places of state. on June 2 meetings at Dera Bassi, SAS Nagar an Chamkaur Sahib, June 3 at Samrala, Gill and Ludhiana (East), June 4 Phillaur, Hoshiarpur and Shamchurasi, June 5 Baba Bakala, Jandiala and Amritsar (East), June 6 Sardulgarh, Mansa and Budhlada will be held and all the office will be present there.
Wing in-charge Meet Hayer said that AAP is the party of common people and it has sent the youngsters from non political and humble background to vidhan sabha. He said that the motive of AAP is to get the common people involved in the politics and to raise the youngsters from humble background to fight against politicians born with silver spoons. He said that time has gone that politics is the personal property of just handful political families in the state but the people with capabilities can now join politics as their profession to serve the people of state. Hayer said that the previous governments have ruined the farming, business and youth of the state. The politicians themselves have started the drug trade in the state.
Co-president Sandeep Dhaliwal said that the people of state have fed up with the corrupt Akalis and congress and now looking towards AAP for alternative politics. He said that AAP will not repeat the mistakes of 2017 vidhan sabha elections and will not disappoint the people of state. He said AAP will never let the govt. cheat the people of state and will raise the voice of unheard inside and outside the vidhan sabha.
Answering the question, Manjinder Sidhu said that AAP stands by its previous view about drug trade in state and repeats that politicians are shielding the drug lords. He said that Capt. Amarinder will never take action against Bikram Majitha but AAP after forming the govt. in state will bring him into books and action wil be taken as per the law of the land.
AAP appointed Vipul Puri as in-charge of youth wing organizational structure. Puri has been associated with the party since movement and has served at various position in various capacities. Sidhu said that with the appointment of Puri the youth wing will further be strengthened and he will be an asset for the wing.
