Chandigarh Mohali and Panchkula comes under the developing cities, but the actual status of infrastructure depends on where the city is located either in the hills or in the plains. The developing cities should have core infrastructure for providing decent quality life to the citizens with a clean and sustainable environment to the people living there. The architectural layout process is defined by the economic, cultural heritage and infrastructure availability in each city. The cities, Mohali, Panchkula and Chandigarh are rapidly growing and seeing a demand of residential housing and commercial complexes each having a unique catchment of investors depending upon the demography of the people living in these cities which makes the construction demand a process unique.
Chandigarh being a union territory of India serves as the capital of the two neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana city. Chandigarh is marked among best planned city in India and is excellently known for its attractive and well-structured infrastructure. The city has the largest number of vehicles in India. Wide, well maintained roads and parking spaces all over the city ease local transport; Chandigarh has well connected highways to its nearby cities like Patiala, Ambala, and Shimla.

When it comes to comparing Mohali and Panchkula, Mohali is a better than Panchkula in terms of accommodation, education, electricity, roadways, shopping complex and various other factors. Mohali is all set to receive a major infrastructure boost as the state government has approved a sum of Rs 1,666.6 crore for developing new urban estates and constructing new roads, along with other infrastructure projects.
Mohali is now considering being as coming next big IT hub among top 10 Indian cities in IT. In Punjab, most of the growth has been seen taking place in Mohali poised to become the IT City of the north. However in Mohali, many upcoming infrastructure projects will also be taking place to take the city to the next level of development.
Panchkula is ahead in terms of greenery but lacks in infrastructure. The major problem faced over there is of water, drainage and sewage issues this needs to be addressed by proper planning construction along with the road network and education centres which play a major role in observing the infrastructure status of any city.
Mohali Panchkula and Chandigarh are known as tri-city, these tri-cities are interconnected with each other and are the developing smart cities having all the basic infrastructure requirements.
