Applications now open to eligible event organizers for the City of Brampton’s Tourism Sponsorship Program

The City of Brampton is now accepting applications for its annual Tourism Sponsorship Program.
The Tourism Sponsorship Program supports Festivals and Amateur Sport Competitions that produce compelling experiences, increase economic activity, celebrate multiculturalism and create awareness of Brampton as a tourism destination. Applications are now open for the following categories:
Sports Tourism Events
Sport tourism events play an important role in enhancing the community by generating positive economic impact, fostering civic pride and forming Brampton’s legacy.
Eligibility
- Incorporated non-profit or registered charity for a minimum period of three years
- Open to the public, accessible, and welcoming to Brampton residents and visitors
- Minimum of two consecutive days of amateur competition at a minimum of seven hours per day
- Consume a minimum of 50 room nights in recognized Brampton paid accommodation providers
- Minimum of 50% of the participants (athletes, coaches, officials) travelling more than 40km one way to an event held in Brampton
- Event must take place in Brampton in 2024
NEW:
Experience Brampton Festivals (*one new festival will be accepted) Experience Brampton Festivals include celebrations of art, culture, food, music, dance and other special attractions that are open to the public, accessible and welcoming to Brampton residents and visitors.
Eligibility
- Brampton based incorporated non-profit or registered charity for a minimum of three years
- Must have operated the festival for at least three years in Brampton
- Must be open, accessible and welcoming to Brampton residents and visitors
- Must attract 1,000 unique participants
- Festival must take place in Brampton in 2024
All applications must be submitted by midnight on Wednesday, December 20.
