Brampton opens applications for 2021 Advance Brampton Fund with added focus on Community Safety and Well-being

Non-profit and charitable organizations can apply for project funding

The City of Brampton is now accepting applications for the 2021 Advance Brampton Fund (ABF). Council approved the program framework in October 2020. Following approval of the City’s 2021 annual operating budget, Brampton-based non-profit and charitable organizations can now apply for funding for projects that advance Term of Council Priorities.

Brampton-based Registered Charities, incorporated non-profit organizations and unincorporated non-profit organizations can apply for funding. Three program streams are available, including: Emerging, Developing, and Amplifying.


The annual call for projects for the Developing and Amplifying program streams is now open for applications until February 3, 2021:

• Developing Projects support organizations that have executed the project at least once in Brampton – eligible for up to $12,500 in matching funds.
• Amplifying Projects support established projects taking place in Brampton – eligible for up to $25,000 in matching funds.

New this year, the Emerging Projects stream, which supports new and emerging projects in Brampton, will accept applications on a quarterly basis. The first quarterly call for applications opens on January 4, 2021 for projects taking place between January and June 2021. The deadline to apply is January 29, 2021.

A workshop on Grant Writing 101 will be held online on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 6:30 pm to assist those applying for funding. Registration is required.

Information sessions will be held online as follows, organized by Term of Council Priority:

• Brampton is a Mosaic: Wednesday, January 13, 2021, 6 pm
• Brampton is a Healthy and Safe City: Thursday, January 14, 2021, 6 pm
• Brampton is a Green City: Monday, January 18, 2021, 6pm
