BRAMPTON: Transit fares to change as of May 1
Brampton Transit cash and PRESTO fares will be changing as of May 1, 2023

Brampton City Council approved a recommendation by Brampton Transit in the 2023 Budget, to change fares for adults, youth and non-resident seniors after freezing fares for three years.
The approximate 10% increase will result in the following fee changes:

The increase will not apply to fares for children under 12 or seniors who are Brampton residents. Brampton senior residents will continue to ride free as a part of the Brampton Senior Resident Free Annual Fare Pass Program launched in 2022. Brampton Transit has the fastest-growing ridership of any municipality in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Ridership levels have recovered beyond pre-pandemic levels, to over 31 million in 2022. To support this demand, Brampton Transit will be adding close to 84,000 service hours.
The change will help support implementation of additional service to meet growing ridership demand, continued bus fleet reliability and ongoing transit improvements, as Brampton Transit continuously works to advance service and schedules to better serve its customers.
