The Voice of Canada-The Voice of Chandigarh News

In a swift and proportionate response to overnight Pakistani aggression, the Indian Armed Forces have targeted and neutralised multiple Pakistani Air Defence assets, including a key system near Lahore, early this morning. This comes after Pakistan launched a wave of drone and missile attacks on Indian military positions across Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj, during the night of 07-08 May 2025.

India’s Integrated Counter-UAS Grid and Air Defence systems successfully intercepted the attempted strikes, with debris now being recovered from several impact zones.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has intensified unprovoked mortar and artillery fire along the Line of Control, killing 16 civilians, including three women and five children, in regions like Kupwara, Uri, and Rajouri.

The Indian Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to non-escalation, emphasizing that all responses have been measured, focused, and within the military domain, but warned that any further aggression will be met with firm retaliation.
