CAFE OWNER AND 4 OTHERS BOOKED FOR SERVING HOOKAH IN CHANDIGARH

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

The Voice of Canada/Chandigarh News:

A case FIR No. 01, U/S 188, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against the owner Divya Malik, Manager Manish and other staff Animesh Manna, Shivam Pathak and Parkash Negi who served hukka to customers at Veda Café, SCO No. 27, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 01.01.2021 and violated the orders of District Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

According to the SHO of Sector 26 Police Station Inspector Jasbir Singh, a patrolling team found hookah being served to customers at Veda Cafe. He further stated that in future too routine checks would be conducted in clubs and restaurants to ensure that the District Magistrate’s orders are followed.
