Chandigarh Administration Urges Drivers to Follow Safe Distancing Rule for Road Safety

The Voice of Chandigarh News:

The Chandigarh Administration emphasizes the importance of maintaining a safe distance while driving to prevent accidents and ensure road safety. Drivers are responsible for keeping adequate space between vehicles, especially at high speeds, as failure to do so often leads to accidents. Safe distancing also includes avoiding alcohol, distractions like mobile phones, and reckless behavior.

The two-second rule is a basic guideline, by which the driver should ideally stay at least two seconds behind any vehicle that is directly in front of his/her vehicle.

The tried advantages and key benefits of safe distancing include reducing pile-ups, improving reaction time, enhancing traffic flow and visibility, preventing aggressive driving, and protecting vulnerable road users.

This rule not only saves lives but also creates a safer and more disciplined environment on the road.
