The Voice of Chandigarh News :

In a heartfelt show of solidarity and compassion, the travel trade fraternity of Chandigarh Tricity came together for a candlelight march in memory of the victims of the recent tragic events in Pahalgam.

Organized by TACT, in collaboration with the TAAI (Travel Agents Association of India) and SKAL International, Chandigarh Chapters, the event drew a strong turnout from across the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. The peaceful gathering took place at Neelam Cinema, Sector 17, where industry professionals, citizens, and supporters stood shoulder to shoulder, holding candles and offering prayers for the lives lost.

The vigil served not only as a tribute to the victims but also as a call for peace and unity during difficult times. As candle flames flickered against the evening sky, the collective silence spoke volumes of the grief, empathy, and resolve shared by the community.

Speaking at the event, representatives from TACT, TAAI, and SKAL emphasized the importance of standing united, not just as professionals, but as human beings. “Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the Pahalgam tragedy. Today’s gathering is a reminder that the travel fraternity is one large family. When one part of us hurts, we all feel it,” said a spokesperson for the organizing committee.

The media presence and community support added to the solemn spirit of the evening, further amplifying the message of resilience and collective strength.
