Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court distributed Enrolment certificates to new entrants

In a function organized in the auditorium of Law Bhawan, Chandigarh. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Krishna Murari, Chief Justice Punjab and Haryana High Court graced the occasion as Chief Guest and distributed the enrolment certificates after administering oath ceremony to the newly enrolled advocates. Wishing success in practice he advised the new entrants to lay stress on fair practice of law and not to adopt short cut. He also advised to create awakening amongst the women and needy sections of society and represent them even if they may not be able to afford lawyers fee. He advised the new entrants to have patience and put hard work with all sincerity and integrity to achieve the goal.
Vijender Singh Ahlawat Chairman and Harpreet Singh Brar Hon’y Secretary Bar Council Punjab & Haryana while welcoming the Hon’ble Mr Justice Krishna Murari Chief Justice, advised the new entrant to maintain dignity of the noble legal profession during practice.
Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana created a new record by giving 5923 licenses to the new advocates during this year. In the previous years, record of the bar council was highest in the year 2010 of issuance of 4902 license in the whole year. At this occasion, Karanjit Singh, former Vice Chairman, and O.P. Chairman Enrolment Committee, Jai Vir Yadav former Chairman, Sh. Partap Singh former Chairman, Lekh Raj Sharma former Chairman, Randhir Singh Badhran former Chairman, Suvir Sidhu and other Advocates as well as parents of the newly enrolled advocates from different places of Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh were also present.
It is also pertinent to mention here that the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana was established under the Advocates Act 1961 and from its inception Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana enrolled more than 99 thousand advocates.
