City of Brampton invites developers to re-imagine the Heritage Theatre Block and City-owned properties within the Southern Block

The Voice of Canada : The City of Brampton has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the redevelopment of the Heritage Theatre Block and City-owned properties within the Southern Block, located at the northeast quadrant at Main Street and Queen Street, of the historic downtown Brampton.
These strategic properties in the heart of Brampton will be re-imagined and transformed into an urban renewal project to support downtown revitalization. The vision is to re-imagine these properties as a landmark development at the historic Four Corners, complementing the Rose Theatre, Garden Square and the Innovation District. Work continues to transform the downtown into a hub of activity for residents and visitors that will support the economic vitality of the city, featuring arts and culture attractions, restaurants, local businesses, post-secondary institutions and additional housing to meet the needs in the downtown.
Proponents are required to submit proposals to IDP@brampton.ca. Deadline for submissions is 2:00 pm EST on Tuesday April 30, 2024.
