Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario, issued the following statement on Yom Kippur

“Tonight at sunset, the Jewish community will begin to observe the holiest day in the Hebrew calendar, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

This solemn and sacred holiday is a time for reflection, rest, and atonement for Jewish people in Ontario and around the world.

I wish all those observing an easy fast and the caring support from loved ones to start the new year with a clean slate.”
