The Voice of Canada News:
Todd Smith, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, issued the following statement on attending the Great Lakes Economic Forum and meeting with business leaders:
“Tomorrow, I will be delivering Ontario’s open for business, open for jobs message at the Great Lakes Economic Forum and meeting with business leaders to deliver that same message.
“In 2017, the economic output of the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence region amounted to US$6 trillion. Our shared future relies on a strong economic partnership and continued collaboration. This forum is an opportunity for Ontario to strengthen our relationship with the Great Lakes states, while attracting and growing jobs right here at home.
“We’re always looking for new opportunities to showcase the province on the world stage. This visit will ensure that companies across the United States, and beyond, know our government is serious when we say that Ontario is open for business and open for jobs. There’s never been a better time to invest in Ontario.”
