MP Sahota Requests Minister Goodale’s Presence at Public Safety Committee to Clarify the 2018 National Report on Terrorism

At the House of Commons’ Standing Committee on Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Ms. Ruby Sahota, Member of Parliament for Brampton North put forward an amendment to Mr. Matthew Dubé motion to invite the Honourable Ralph Goodale, the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to appear before committee as soon as possible, as there is a need to address this issue immediately. The Minister is being asked to provide insight and take questions on the 2018 Public Report on the Terrorist Threat to Canada tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, December 11th 2018.
The amended motion passed with the full support of all Liberal Members of Parliament.
“I have been speaking with the Minister since the day this report was released,” said MP Sahota. “I look forward to welcoming Minister Goodale to committee in the very near future to publicly address concerns I have been hearing from my constituents’.”
