Peel Regional Police – Arrests Made in Mississauga Carjacking Robbery
Investigators with the Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau have arrested two young persons in relation to a carjacking robbery that occurred in the City of Mississauga.
On Friday, December 6, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., a female victim was returning to her parked vehicle in the shopping area near Britannia Road West and Mavis Road in Mississauga, when she was confronted by two male suspects who demanded keys to her vehicle. Fearing for her safety, the victim complied and the suspects fled the area in the victim’s vehicle, a newer model Mercedes GLE. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries from the incident.
Investigators quickly located the stolen vehicle and arrested the suspects. A replica firearm and an edged weapon were located inside the vehicle.
Two male young persons from Brampton, ages 16 and 17, were arrested and both charged with the following:
- Robbery
- Wear Disguise
Both young persons were held for bail hearings.
A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identities of the Young Persons charged in this investigation are protected.
