Peel Regional Police – Driving Instructor Charged in Sexual Assault Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit have charged a 34-year-old driving instructor following a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that in August 2023, a 17-year-old female was partaking in driving lessons and was sexually assaulted by the driving instructor.
On August 19, 2023, police arrested Muhammad Farooq, a 34-year-old man from Mississauga. He has been charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:
- Sexual Assault
- Sexual Exploitation
He is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on September 18, 2023, to answer to the charges.
Muhammad Farooq works as an independent driving school instructor and has contracts across the Greater Toronto Area.
