Peel Regional Police – Safer Roads Team Charges Prolific Driving Offender

Region of Peel – Investigators from Road Safety Services – Safer Roads Team (SRT) have arrested and charged, for the fourth time, the same person with an Impaired Driving related offence.
On Wednesday, October 4, 2023, officers arrested Sandra Emran, a 53-year-old woman, for Impaired Operation of a vehicle in the area of Bramalea Road and Balmoral Drive in Brampton.
This was her fourth arrest for an Impaired Driving related offence, within the last 18 months.
Sandra Emran is charged with the following offences:
- Operation While Impaired – Drug
- Refuse Urine Sample
- Operation While Prohibited
- Driving While Under Suspension
Sandra Emran was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Thursday, October 5, 2023. She was released from custody that same day on a recognizance of bail.
Sandra Emran was already on a Canada-wide driving prohibition order and three Highway Traffic Act-related driving prohibitions. Additionally, she is currently on three separate charges for Driving While Under Suspension and Operation While Impaired – Drugs. She has past convictions for Disqualified Driving.
Road Safety Services will continue to target dangerous and high-risk drivers that pose an increased risk to public safety within our community.
