Peel Regional Police – Suspended Driver Caught with Firearm during Traffic Stop

Region of Peel – Officers from 22 Division have charged a man with drug and firearms-related offences during a traffic stop in Brampton.
On Saturday, August 8, 2020, at approximately 3:30 p.m., uniform officers investigated a vehicle in the area of Kenwood Drive and Gilgorm Road in the City of Brampton.
The driver tried to leave the vehicle during the traffic stop, Drayon Lewis, a 28-year-old man from Toronto, was arrested and charged with three Highway Traffic-related offences, including Drive Under Suspension. In addition to the traffic offences, he was charged with seven firearm relation offences and one drug-related offence.
Drayon Lewis was held for bail and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Sunday, August 9, 2020.
