PGGC-11 Shines at 67th Annual Prize Distribution: Over 600 Students Honored

The 67th Annual Prize Distribution Function of Post-Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh, was a grand celebration of excellence. The event was graced by Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Secretary Education, UT Chandigarh Administration, and a distinguished alumna of the institution, as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Principal, and Dean, followed by a soulful invocation to Goddess Saraswati by the students. Amid loud applause, over 600 trophies and prizes were awarded to meritorious students for their stellar achievements in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities.

In her Annual Report, Prof. Anita Kaushal, Principal, highlighted the remarkable accomplishments of students at University, National, and International levels. She also commended the faculty’s contributions to research and academic excellence. Notably, the college has garnered prestigious awards for its environmental conservation efforts, sustainable development initiatives, and cleanliness practices.

Ms. Prerna Puri, while addressing the gathering, expressed pride in her alma mater and lauded the institution’s multifaceted growth. She inspired students with her “Three P’s Mantra”—Passion, Perseverance, and Pursuit of Excellence—emphasizing that true recognition comes through quality work. She urged students to strive not only for success but also to be individuals of value.

The event concluded on a high note, celebrating the relentless spirit of excellence that defines PGGC-11, Chandigarh.
