Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meets with Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil to discuss shared priorities. The Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to work collaboratively with Premier McNeil and the Government of Nova Scotia. He also thanked Premier McNeil for his ongoing collaboration on a wide range of issues, including clean energy and electrification, clean growth, and climate change. 

The Prime Minister and the Premier also discussed housing, health care, labour shortages in Nova Scotia, and the important role that immigration continues to play in growing Nova Scotia’s economy and population.  

They agreed to continue to collaborate on these important priorities, and look forward to the next First Ministers’ Meeting.
