The Rajpura Annual Cultural event was an evening not to be missed. This event is the brain child of Mr. Inderjit Guraya, Mr. Gurpreet Toor, Mr. Surinder Singh and Mr. Jagtar Singh. The first event was held in 2007 and it received an amazing response, hence getting converted into an annual event. This event has since then been organised religiously for the past 12 years by this group of energetic and dynamic foursome. It is a very good way to connect with new and old Rajpurians. This year the Rajpura night was held at Eros Convention Centre, Mississauga. The event had an overwhelming response with around 300 guests. The dazzling bhangra followed by the gidha performance kept the audience glued to their seats. Everyone could be seen clapping and cheering the performers for their mind-blowing performances. There were beautiful Bollywood performances too. The full-on dance and masti program was a treat for the eyes, bringing Punjab to Canada with all its colours. Canada is the most diverse and multicultural country in the world. Providing the opportunity to preserve Punjabi Folk Culture and its pride. After the enthralling performances, the guests also got on to their feet to the endless beats of Punjabi numbers. The delicious food left the guests asking for more. The event was a huge success with Linda Jeffery, Mayor of Brampton, MPP Deepak Anand and other prominent dignitaries. “Congratulations go to Rajpurians on a job very well done.
