Registration for City’s 2024 fall recreation programs opens on August 19

Starting Monday, August 5, the City of Brampton will publish its upcoming lineup of recreation programs for the fall 2024 session. Residents and patrons are encouraged to explore a diverse range of programs tailored to all ages and interests.
Last fall, the City welcomed approximately 35,000 registrants, and with new programs added for the fall 2024 session, Brampton Recreation aims to connect more patrons to the amenities the city offers.
Key dates
- All fall 2024 recreation programs are viewable on Monday, August 5 at 12 am.
- Resident registration for most fall programs, including Sports, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) starts on Monday, August 19 at 6 am.
- Resident registration for fall Learn to Swim and Learn to Skate Programs starts on Thursday, September 5 at 6 am.
- Non-resident program registration begins on Monday, September 9, at 6 am.

Youth Cricket Skills and Drills
The Youth Cricket Skills and Drills program focuses on developing fundamental movement and cricket skills, boosting confidence and ensuring a fun learning experience for youth ages 8-14.
New STEAM programs coming for fall 2024
Arduino, Digital Art and Music: Discover the joy of creating interactive electronic projects with Arduino, unleash creativity in digital art and explore the world of music.
Photography and Digital Editing with Adobe Lightroom: This photography program provides practical experience to hone essential techniques and artistic skills, fostering self-assurance and enjoyment. Discover the art of photography!
Brampton Sports League
Brampton Sports League is an opportunity for individuals aged 18 and older of all skill levels to play recreational sports in a social and supportive environment. This season offers Basketball, Cricket, Dodgeball, Flag Football, Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball. Registration for the Brampton Sports League fall 2024 season is now open, with the season beginning in September.

Programs for seniors
Brampton Recreation offers a wide range of programs for adults aged 55 and older, including discounted memberships. In addition, in celebration of Brampton’s 50th birthday since incorporating in 1974, the City is giving eligible individuals 70 and older a free Annual Recreation Membership, offering recreational activities without financial barriers. These initiatives support seniors’ well-being with access to fitness centers, racquet sports and engaging programs. Online Registration
To help ensure a seamless online registration process, residents are asked to:
- Make sure you can log in to your online account in advance.
- Check your personal information on your account to ensure accuracy.
- Browse programs in advance of registration day and make a shortlist.
- Add your credit card information to your account in advance. We can no longer accept financial information over the phone or via email.
- Use the date range filter and select the next session date to browse available courses.
- Do not refresh the page while payment is being processed.
- •The Google Chrome browser provides the best user experience.
Patrons will be added to a virtual waiting room on the day of registration to ensure a fair and equitable process and help improve the online registration experience.
In-person registration
Patrons can visit a recreation centre to register for programs. In addition, laptops are available at select recreation centres for City staff to support residents during registrations.
Financial Assistance for residents
ActiveAssist, generously sponsored by 407 ETR and Capital Power, is a fee subsidy program offered by the City of Brampton, designed to help low-income individuals and families in Brampton participate in recreation programs. This program is available for Brampton families who qualify.
Approved applicants each receive a $275 credit, which can be used toward a wide variety of drop-in and registered, memberships and services. Each eligible ActiveAssist participant is enrolled for a two-year period.
