Saskatchewan Premier to travel to India to promote trade and investment

The Premier of the province of Saskatchewan in Canada, Scott Moe, will travel to India from November 23 to December 1, 2018. While in India, the Premier will visit Delhi and Mumbai and meet key Indian political leaders and senior officials, business leaders, and students.
Looking forward to his visit, Premier Moe said: “India is already one of Saskatchewan’s most important trading partners, and we look forward to strengthening our commercial relationship and deepening our friendship. Saskatchewan is uniquely positioned to supply the food, fuel and fertilizer needed to support India’s dynamic economy and growing population. During my visit to India, I look forward to expanding our trade relations while highlighting Saskatchewan’s academic and innovation strengths.”
The Premier will be accompanied by high-level officials from the Government of Saskatchewan, as well as corporate and academic leaders.
The province of Saskatchewan is among the most important global producers and exporters of food, fuel and fertilizer. Saskatchewan is Canada’s leading exporter to India, with sales of 1.15 billion in 2017. Its natural strengths include dynamic, skilled and innovative producers and world-class agricultural research and development facilities and universities.
