Premier Doug Ford issued the following statement on Family Day:

“This long weekend is an opportunity to rediscover our beautiful province and all it has to offer by spending quality time with family and friends.

On Family Day, Ontarians can enjoy the great outdoors and winter activities, from skating and skiing, to tobogganing and ice fishing. Families can take advantage of free fishing this long weekend as the first of four licence-free fishing opportunities in 2020.

This week is also Ontario Heritage Week, and what better way to celebrate than by visiting one of Ontario’s many amazing heritage, cultural or tourist attractions.

From my family to yours, I want to wish everyone a safe, happy and relaxing holiday weekend.”
