Sumit Malhotra An Indian Ace Artist

Sumit Malhotra, an Indian ace artist in the field of Photography from more than a decade has tremendously grown his career right from the day when he holds his camera (what he always says his Artistic eyes) who capture the surroundings and those views which a common person might miss every day. For him, photography is not only his passion but also he earns through it as considering the profession too. His professional career has many milestones which he achieved. It was not only on a local level but also International also. As he is always keen to participate in Photography competitions to showcase his art, he won various awards/recognitions while competing with other photographers. As he kicked off his interest in showcasing his work in exhibitions from the year 2014, there was no looking back. As winning boosts one’s morale, after fetching second prize in Rose Festival Photography competitions in 2014, he never interrupts his journey of participating and winning. More and more acknowledgements pushed him to think globally and he put forward his work on the International front. Even during the Covid-19 era, he expanded his imagination and contributed to the online art initiative and get recognition.
Online Art Initiative
With this attitude of elevating his career and adding more feathers in the cap, he recently participated in two International Art competitions wherein he stood on the top and these milestones matter the most in his journey of devoting life in the field of Photography. Winning the Gold tag in International Art Contest “The Abstract Show” organized by an art group ‘All Visual Arts’ gave him lift. The image in the winning category describes an abstract art from rainfall. The photograph resembles a painting that highlights the life on the streets during a downpour.

Carrying forward to his art participation, he stepped into another International Art competition, “6th International Action Photography Contest 2020” organized by Art Photography India Group. As the theme of the competition was ‘Action’, Sumit stood First after competing with photographers across the globe. The competition was judged by a War Photographer and Filmmaker from Iran, Mahdieh Mirhabibi and Ratan Sonal, founder of Art Photography India Group. The winning image clearly shows a kind of protest in which police try to control the mob using water cannon. This kind of image looks too hard to capture as it involves a great risk of being hurt. However, he proved his skills in handling such an event with the sharpness of his mind.
International Action Contest
“I always dream of achieving a name in the field of art which pushed me into this field, moreover I always try to highlight my art in one way or other in order to learn from collective artwork, told Sumit Malhotra”. He further said as learning is never an ending process, I will always try to capture new concepts and share to spread my wings in this art field.
