The Voice of Canada News:
It took them twenty years to bring the world cup trophy back to France, but they have done it. Didier Deschamps, the man who lifted the trophy for the 1998 World Cup has led his team to lift it again after twenty years, but this time he did it as their coach. An amazing 4-2 win has led France to their second World Cup in over twenty years. An unlucky own goal by Croatia centre forward Mario Mandzukic in the eighteenth minute gave France an early lead. Croatia answered back with a terrific equalizer by Ivan perišić but this time Croatia ran out of luck. Their lead only lasted ten minutes. Antoine Griezmann scored his fourth goal of the season as the VAR gives France the spot kick.
Croatia try to do everything they can but Paul Pogba comes in their way scoring another goal for France in the 59th minute followed by another goal by Kylian Mbbapé in the 65th minute. Mario Mandzukic answers back with another goal but Croatia were not able to score any more goals and so it ended 4-2.
