“Indeed We Can” is a non-profit, multi-cultural initiative that aims to bring real social and economic opportunities, especially, for women and newcomers to realize their Canada dreams.
When we get to know what struggles our fellow beings have gone through to achieve their success and what dues they paid to arrive where they are, it fills us with such a keen urge and utmost confidence to forge ahead in our journey! And what if those same inspirations come and ask you if they can be your guide and buddy, what a difference that would make to our perspective on the journey to progress! Won’t the words come straight from our hearts that yes, Indeed We Can!!!
Indeed We Can team conducts a series of educational sessions, career information workshops, self-help groups and mentorship programs. It also works with other similar themed organizations which are working in this space.
A major awareness event that’s being organized by Indeed We Can build on the theme of Fun-n-Learn around social and family occasions. And, the theme this time is “Fantastic Father’s Day with Miracle Moms”. This is being celebrated on Father’s Day 2018 which is 17th June 2018 from 11 am to 4 pm at Galaxy Grand Convention Center, 200 Advance Boulevard, Brampton.
The event will have the presence of dignitaries, prominent personalities and media including special TV coverage. The former Mayor of Brampton Susan Fennell is one of the distinguished guests and Miracle Moms. There are inspiring female role models from many communities to be honoured:

- Rokhaya Gueye
- Jenifer Camacho
- Sanjukta Das
- Anu Vittal
- Arifa Muzaffar
- Dr. Shailja Saksena
- Promil Paul
Online contests were run for the children for drawing, painting, creative writing and singing. The prizes shall be announced in the event.
Ekal Canada, a registered charity organization working on the educational opportunity to underprivileged, will have an awareness campaign on this day.
Following are the highlights of the day:
- Recognizing Miracle Moms from different communities and cultures
- An announcement of networking forum for newcomers
- Raffle surprise for Dashing Dads
- Prize distribution of kids’ activities
- Dinner and DJ
- Performances and entertainment (many cultures)
- A live performance by Kulbinder Rai, (“Singing Policeman” from the UK)
A highly strategic group of advisors and a very committed team of young and experienced volunteers are behind this success.
The Co-founder Kamini Singh says “Canada is a melting pot of very talented people coming from very diverse backgrounds. It is for us as Canadian society that we make their integration experience smooth and pleasant to be able to fully benefit from their talents and skills. Indeed We Can recognize the need for more action to achieve this and aims to provide a platform to do so in a highly interactive and effective way.”
