In a significant development, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has confirmed that India and Pakistan have reached an agreement to implement a ceasefire. The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMO) of both countries held a call at 15:35 IST earlier this afternoon, during which they agreed to halt all military actions—on land, in the air, and at sea—starting from 17:00 IST today.
The ceasefire, aimed at reducing escalating tensions between the two nations, has been formally communicated, and both sides have been instructed to give effect to this agreement immediately.
Additionally, both DGMOs will reconvene for further discussions on May 12 at 12:00 IST to assess the situation and ensure continued peace.
