The City’s largest single day event, Brampton’s Canada Day celebration returns to Chinguacousy Park on Saturday, July 1.
Enjoy family-friendly activities, delicious food, main stage performances presented by CIBC Global Money Transfer, and a spectacular fireworks display presented by Tim Hortons.

Fun, Family Friendly Activities | 12 pm – 10 pm
- Starting at 12 PM, there will be fun-filled activities for the entire family to enjoy:
- Take a bounce on one of the many different large inflatable rides, slides and games
- Enjoy all the amenities Chinguacousy Park has to offer including playgrounds, skateboard park, paddle boat rentals and beach volleyball courts. Take a dip and cool off in our splash pad and wading pool, enjoy a round of mini golf, or stop by and see some of our furry friends at the Mini-Moo Farm.
- Savour delicious eats in the food zone
- Shop and support local retail vendors
- Visit with Members of Council at the cupcake giveaway
- Stay hydrated at the water-refill stations presented by Meridian Credit Union;

Live Entertainment | 6 pm – 10 pm
The Chinguacousy Swing Orchestra and Brampton Folk Club will entertain visitors all afternoon with music near the paddle boat pavilion. New this year, enjoy a community dance showcase featuring local Brampton dance organizations and schools.
At 6 pm, head over to the concert zone for musical performances live from the main stage, hosted by media personality, entrepreneur and culture contributor Jesse Jones.
Stage programming will begin with a Land Acknowledgement by Legacy Keepers at Central Peel Secondary School and a Healing Song and Smudging by Four Colours Drum Circle, Elder Winterhawk and Cidalia Costa.
Performing at this year’s Canada Day mainstage, presented by CIBC Global Money Transfer, are international touring and award-winning band, Wicked Truth; JUNO award winners and Indigenous artists, Digging Roots; and headlining performance by The Jim Cuddy Band.
End the night with spectacular fireworks show presented by Tim Hortons at 10 pm to commemorate Canada’s birthday.
Travelling to and from the event

On-site parking is limited, event goers are encouraged to walk, ride their bikes, park at alternative locations, or take advantage of the free shuttle service offered by Brampton Transit for the day.
FREE Brampton Transit Shuttles
Brampton Transit Shuttle Services are free and run every 30 minutes starting at noon at one of our four shuttle locations – Mount Pleasant GO Station, Trinity Common Mall, Sheridan College and Gore Meadows Community Centre.
Parking
Limited parking is available on site at a rate of $20 per vehicle, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Debit and Credit only, no cash will be accepted.

Fireworks Safety in Brampton on Canada Day

City of Brampton’s Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation
- On March 11, 2020, Brampton City Council passed a resolution based on a report regarding Indigenous Reconciliation, Calls to Action and Justice.
- This resolution lifts the City of Brampton to accept the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) Calls to Action and focuses on developing an Indigenous-led Reconciliation Action Plan, Indigenous Engagement Strategy, and hiring staff to guide the reconciliation process and provide support on engagement, community outreach and strengthening of Indigenous relations. In addition, this resolution further accepts the United Nations Declaration of Rights for Indigenous Peoples as the framework for the City of Brampton to work with Indigenous communities and organizations specific to #43 of the TRC Call to Action.
- The City of Brampton acknowledges the tragic and ongoing discovery of the unmarked graves and burials on and near residential schools, as well as Canada’s history and relationship with Indigenous communities. The City is committed to advancing truth and reconciliation across all divisions of the Corporation and Brampton at large. We are working closely with Indigenous partners to fulfill our commitments to Indigenous peoples through a nation-to-nation relationship as was intended through Treaty – Silver Chain – Treaty of Niagara and the implementation of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s (TRC) Calls to Action.
