CITY OF BRAMPTON APPOINTS BRAC PRESIDENT KURIAN PRAKKANAM AS MAYOR’S BRAMPTON BUSINESS AMBASSADOR

The City of Brampton has made an excellent choice in appointing Kurian Prakkanam, the President of BRAC, as the Mayor’s Brampton Business Ambassador. With his wealth of experience and expertise, he is sure to be a valuable asset to the city and its businesses.
Prakkanam is the President of the Brampton Residents Association Council, a consortium of approximately 50 communities, and the National Federation of Malayalee Associations in Canada. He is also the president and organizer of the Brampton Boat Race, where Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown serves as the chairman of the Publicity Committee. Kamal Khera MP is the Race Community Chairperson, Ruby Sahota MP is the Event Community Chairperson, and Amarjot Sandhu MPP is the Vice Chairman of the Public Committee. The Chairman of the event coordination committee is Ontario Minister Prabmeet Sarkaria.
Santokh Sam Basra, Vice President of BRAC, praises Mr. Prakkanam’s strong leadership in social, cultural, and philanthropic activities, both in Canada and Kerala politics. BRAC senior leaders Annette Wielgus, Ketan Desai, Jotvinder Sodhi, and Shahina Kishwer also commend Mr. Prakkanam for his efforts in fostering social harmony among different communities and associations in Canada.
