City of Brampton launches 2024 Advance Brampton Fund

The local non-profit sector in Brampton plays a unique and valuable role in delivering programs and services that meet the community’s needs. To continue to support this sector, starting October 2, 2023, the City of Brampton is inviting Brampton-based non-profit organizations and registered charities to apply to the 2024 Advance Brampton Fund.
The Advance Brampton Fund (ABF) is a community grant program that supports local non-profits and charities with three funding streams:
• New and Small Project Stream (previously Emerging): This stream offers support for innovative new projects and smaller initiatives, providing essential grants to nurture their growth with up to $5,000 in funding.
• Developing Project Stream: This stream supports projects that have demonstrated early success in Brampton. The Developing Project Stream provides matching project funds of up to $12,500 to help grow a project’s reach, audience engagement and overall impact.
• Amplifying Project Stream: This fund supports organizations with well-developed projects and a successful operation history in Brampton and offers matching project funds of up to $25,000 to elevate the project’s reach, audience engagement, and overall impact.
New this year, matching funds are no longer required for the New and Small Project Stream, making funding more accessible for new and small organizations.
Since 2020, the Advance Brampton Fund has provided approximately $3 million in grant funding to Brampton’s non-profit and charitable sector, supporting over 282 projects that helped improve Brampton residents’ quality of life through the delivery of:
• arts presentations and performances, • youth summer camps, • a variety of recreational programming, • job and skills-based training, and • programs designed to improve mental health.

The deadline to apply for the New and Small Project Stream is Monday, October 30, 2023.
The deadline to apply for the Developing and Amplifying Project Streams is Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
