Commissioner reviews Smart City projects in meeting

K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today called the PMC M/s.Egis International SA which was selected in the month of June, 2017 for the review meeting. The team leader Mr. Arun Kumar Singh, Project Director and Mr. M.K. Dhir, Infrastructure Specialist as key experts alongwith team members were present during the meeting and given the overview of the project under Chandigarh Smart City Mission.

The Commissioner, MC has decided that the meeting to review the progress of works under Smart City Mission will be held every Wednesday. The PMC has also been advised to give the comments on the proposal for replacement of pumps as proposed by EESL under AMRUT scheme at various installations i.e. Water Works and Tubewells.

In addition to that the Commissioner held different meetings with various wings of MCC including Accounts branch, parking branch, tax branch and estate branches of MCC to review the ongoing works in these branches and asked the concerned officers to prepare roadmap for improvement of the structures/system in their respective areas.
