Peel Regional Police – Arrest Made in Fatal Collision

On Friday, July 12, 2024, at approximately 8:14 p.m., Peel Regional Police attended the area of McLaughlin Road and Horwood Drive in Brampton for reports of a violent collision. Investigation revealed that a collision occurred between two vehicles at this location and following the collision, one vehicle spun, mounting a sidewalk, striking and killing the victim who was walking in the area. The deceased victim was a 15-year-old resident from Brampton.

On Friday July 12, 2024, MCB investigators arrested Mandeep Singh, a 36-year-old man from Mississauga who was charged with following criminal offences: 

• Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand – Accident Resulting in Death (Alcohol)
• Dangerous Operation Causing Death
• Operation while Impaired Causing Death

He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice for his special bail hearing on Friday, July 26, 2024.
