Peel Regional Police – Homicide Victim Identified

Region of Peel– Detectives from the Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau are investigating a shooting that left an adult male dead. 

On Sunday, October 29, 2023, at approximately 12:05 a.m., police responded to shots fired near Goreway Drive and Morning Star Drive in Mississauga. Upon arrival, police located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. 

Despite the best efforts of first responders, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

Police believe this was a targeted incident and that there is no risk to the general public. 

The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Alton FISHER of Peterborough.
