Peel Regional Police – Police Make Numerous Arrests in Relation to Armed Group Assault

Region of Peel – On July 16, 2020 Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau began an investigation into a violent incident involving multiple parties armed with weapons.
At approximately 6:00 pm on July 16, 2020 several parties attended the area of James Potter Road and Bonnie Braes Drive in the City of Brampton. The parties, armed with sticks and cricket bats proceeded to assault the victim. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Investigators have identified, arrested and charged all parties responsible for the assault. The following is a list of those now facing charges:
Abhishek, a 20-year-old man from Brampton, has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Manoj Kumar, a 51-year-old man from Brampton, has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Mohit, a 19-year-old man from Brampton, has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Tinu, a 19-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with one count of assault.
Havee, a 26-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with one count of assault.
