Peel Regional Police – Updated: Prolific Residential Break and Enter Suspect Arrested

The Voice of Canada News:

Region of Peel – After a lengthy investigation, Members of the 11 Division Break and Enter Unit have arrested a man in relation to numerous Break, Enter and theft investigations which occurred in the region of Peel and across the Greater Toronto area (GTA).

On October 8, 2020, Piotr Wroblewski, a 41 year-old male of no fixed address was located during the exection of a warrant in the City of Toronto with the assistance of the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force (Tactical unit).

Wroblewski had been wanted on numerous warrants in relation to several Break and and Enter and theft from residences in Mississauga. Wroblewski was also wanted on warrants for similar offences by Toronto Police, including a Canada Wide Warrant. He had been actively evading Police since 2017, and locating Wroblewski proved difficult as he was well versed in counter surveillance tools and techniques.

Piotr Wroblewski was known to use distictive tactics to identify residences that indicated that the homeowners where away for an extended period of time. Wroblewski would then return to each location at a later time and commit his crimes; victimizing families and communties.

“We’ve assuaged, for the most part the pain of having OUR things torn and stolen from our home. They are after all, ‘things’ (as we have been constantly reminded). But these ‘things’ were symbolic, sentimental and signalled milestones and memories. These now require our minds to recalibrate and alter on some level, these moments in our lives. What we have missed most is our peace of mind. This was stripped from us when we arrived to our home, which is a solemn place and meant to be our safehaven, was systematically, ransacked and pillaged” said a victim of Wroblewski whose residence was victimized on several occasions.

In total, Piotr Wroblewski is facing over 60 charges related to Break and Enters and the Possession of Stolen Property by multiple Police agencies. Since his arrest, Wroblewski has been held in custody and will be attending the Ontario Court  of Justice in the City of Brampton on October 15, 2020 for the purposes of a bail hearing..
