Anuradha Chatterjee
Anuradha Chatterjee belongs to the reputed family of Shri Bankim Chandra Chatterjee who was a Bengali writer, poet, journalist and was the composer of India’s national song Vande Mataram.
She spent her childhood in Silk City Bhagalpur, Bihar. Her father was a renowned businessman. She had a keen interest in adult literacy and she encouraged women & children of Bhagalpur who were below poverty level to study and gain knowledge. From childhood, she actively supported the people who could not afford enough for themselves and were below the poverty level at Bhagalpur.
She was awarded President’s Award by DR. Shankar Dayal Sharma (1994) for Scout’s and Guide’s. She graduated from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.
She passed her LLB & LLM and practiced Law in India and was also an entrepreneur and managed her own retail store.
She landed in Canada on May 2013 and started her career from a scratch like all other new immigrants. Along with her struggling job she started volunteering at different community events where she got a flavour of multiculturalism. She actively participated and supported many organizations. She has been awarded by different organizations in GTA. Recently she has produced and promoted a feature film Death Certificate along with her friends Kamini Singh and Anju Malhotra.
Her ambition is to serve the community along with giving back to the community through different events. The Backbenchers Toronto Entertainment’s expertise is in organizing events, theatre, films, workshops & off course charity.
