Young Canadian Alliance & School of Flavours presented 3rd Annual “TASTE OF INDIA FOOD FESTIVAL” @ Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto

Taste of India Festival showcased Peace, Love and Harmony. The festival was a true example of exhibiting culture, heritage, music, dance and sampling food. Participation of National Defence Department (The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada) and Royal Ontario Museum made the event a Grandeur exhibition of Indo Canadian relationship.
This family-friendly event was perfect for this summer with more than 85 vendors attracting over 65,000 in attendance and opened arms to welcome all the communities and attracted multicultural communities, which enjoyed the festival and became part of Bollywood style dances & Pani puri eating competitions.
The stage was set on fire by classical dances, bhangra, music, musical melodies by singers and a live DJ and rocked the square from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm nonstop.
The festival did set out a setting stone as a true example of multiculturalism and attracted diverse communities. About Taste of India: More than 500 different Indian dishes were exhibited showcasing each and every state of India, Taste of India Food Festival was a foodie’s utopia and more than 50% of vendors were sold out 2-3 times.
This was a true example of attracting multicultural communities by the common love for food. Due to public demand, this year Taste of India will also be hosted on August 17, 2019, in the largest South Asian Populated city Brampton @ Sheridan College Campus 7899 McLaughlin Rd, Brampton, ON – L6Y 5H9 with the community support funding of Flower City Brampton. A lot of events deliver on one or two of the senses but Taste of India Food Festival delivered all 5 senses. “Visually everyone was treated with color and diversity; interactive street performers and activities allowed everyone to touch the fun; crowd heard amazing music; everyone’s taste buds were delighted by amazing flavours, and everyone smelled the gorgeous smells of delicious street food.” Overall the festival was a trip of a mind-blowing, sensory feast for everyone who visited at Toronto City Hall.
There were frequent raffle draw for audiences including travel credit vouchers, dinner vouchers, smart watches and lots of giveaways by sponsors and vendors. Several local businesses and artists donated money, time, and talent to support the community and supported the Festival.
