The Voice of Canada news | Toronto- Pedestrians in the Yonge and Finch Avenue area got hit by a white van around  1:30 p.m.

According to police, after the pedestrians were hit, the van drove away. Eight to ten people were hit, and a witness confirmed that he had seen around 4 bodies lying covered on the ground.

Officers were called immediately and the driver is now in custody. The police closed down the southbound lanes of Yonge street as they continued their investigation. Line 1 subway service between Sheppard and Finch stations has been suspended by the TTC along with the shuttle bus service.
