TJ Joulak, General Manager of the bold and happening W Goa, part of Marriott International, was recognised as the General Manager of the Year, Luxury Hotels Segment at the recently concluded HOSI 2018, hosted by Hotelivate on 2nd July 2018. This is another feather in the cap for the award-winning hotel that has bagged 17 awards since its opening in December 2016, the last one being the Best New Spa (Resort) Award at the Asia Spa Awards held in April 2018.

TJ started his career with the opening of the lberostar Hammamet in Tunisia and then went on to open the Sheraton Hotel & Towers Tunis, the W Doha – 1st W Hotel in the Middle East, W Istanbul, W Bali – 1st W Hotel in South East Asia and ran the W Taipei. All of these W Hotels are today iconic hotels with a strong footprint and a great representation of the brand across the world. TJ has a Higher National Diploma in Hotel Business Management from the University College Birmingham, UK, a Degree (BA HONS) in International Marketing and Economics as well as an MBA in Economics and Finance for Hospitality from Birmingham University. His distinguished educational background and rich and varied work experience of more than 20 years, serves as a springboard for his professional accomplishments.
