YCA Organised 2nd Annual Ganesh Chaturthi

Young Canadian Alliance & School of Flavours presented 2nd Annual “GANESH CHATURTHI” from September 2-4, 2019 at Hindu Heritage Centre, Mississauga.
The event received an overwhelming response from the public; it was a magnificent exhibition of Culture, Heritage, & Art. The statue of Lord Ganesha was about 12 feet high and specially handcrafted with eco-friendly material from India and was imported to Canada.
This was the 2nd year in a row and great initiative by Young Canadian Alliances to exhibit culture and heritage in an artistic way for the Canadian South Asian Community. 7000+ people visited the festival over 3 days and were provided with dinner every day at no cost, and the event was a free public event. This was a great initiative started, as a trend in Canada and the festival was first time recognized by the Parliament house of Canada.
About Ganesha Festival: Ganesh Chaturthi is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, which is one of the very important Hindu Festival, celebrated throughout India with great devotion. This day is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesh, the elephant-headed son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Lord Ganesh is the symbol of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. Ganesh Festival has been conceptualized as something completely unique and Young Canadian Alliances is the first NPO organization to host such a cultural event which can make a significant contribution to the economic, social and environmental fabric of the country.
We envision this event as a convergence of joyful celebration in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. This will deliver patrons a unique opportunity to interact, unite, share passions, and communicate with each other in a festival-like setting. Interaction, communication and shared experiences are the keys to understanding different cultures and idea is to build bridges between the communities in a peaceful and harmonized environment. “Young Canadian Alliances aims to be an institution which promotes the richness of culture, tradition and heritage by connecting diverse communities together in an inclusive way to empower social & the economic development of Canadians & people across the globe,” adds Mr. Vrajesh Shah President of YCA.
“We are excited to celebrate 3rd year in 2020 in a grandeur way with a magnificent exhibition of Art, by creating a 22 feet sculpture. Ganesh Festival welcomes you to indulge in Canada’s largest Arts, Culture, Spiritual, Musical, Dance performances, Singing competitions and lots more. It will be a “FREE PUBLIC EVENT” and expected attendance of over 15000+ from Canada and USA, said Mr. Vrajesh Shah, Director, YCA. “This festival will give you an experience with ever-vibrant South Asian culture and heritage by famous local performing artists will keep you interested,” throughout the day.
