Those who are beer lovers understand well the launch of new beers at every occasion at The Great Bear Sector 26 Chandigarh and Hops N Grains Panchkula. But when the occasion is of Octoberfest the curiosity is always at the peak. Celebrations are already on during the Octoberfest exactly on the pattern of Munich. When I visited The Great Bear Sector 26 Chandigarh, Gagandeep the Microbiologist (Brewer) explained every detail about the launch of new beers. When tasted it almost proved the same and was in synch with the brewing techniques giving the same flavour.

Chicken Satay with Peanut sauce

The Chef Paramjit Singh, of The Great Bear Sector 26 shared with me the type of food preparations that normally go well with different types of beers. According to him, Red Rice lager goes well with Balsamic Mushroom & Onion Crostini whereas the Nitrous Stout can be enjoyed with Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce. I found the perfect blend of these beers with the food suggested by Chef Paramjit Singh.
The ever-smiling Manager Deb Dip Chaterjee elaborated that Chandigarh is progressive and modern city needs no more introduction to Oktoberfest, internationally regarded as a folk festival, tailor-made for those who love trying new beers with good food. Carrying on with the tradition, your favourite Microbrewery, The Great Bear Kitchen and Microbrewery is holding a week-long Oktoberfest where it is offering true Bavarian style freshly crafted beers along with finger-licking snacks served in an atmosphere designed to lift your spirits.
The Great Bear, the guests will find the perfect amalgamation of all these elements. The restaurant is offering four freshly crafted beers – Wheat Beer, Green Apple, Stout and Red Rice Beer. Designed to appeal to guests with different tastes and likes, each beer has unique distinct taste, the flavour along with different levels of alcohol content.
According to Amritanshu, Director, The Great Bear Kitchen and Microbrewery, “Oktoberfest gives us a perfect opportunity to offer our guests a truly international style fun and entertainment. We really hope we are successful in giving moments of joy and happiness to our guests – a prime purpose of any festival.”
Believe me, there is no need to head towards Munich for the celebrations, simply visit The Great Bear Sector 26 Chandigarh and HNG Panchkula and find the same feel and taste of the variety of beers and foods.
