BRAMPTON, ON — On Saturday, August 16, 2025, Brampton Transit will offer free, all-day transit service to Canadian War Veterans (former members of the Canadian Armed Forces) and one companion to travel to and from the Warriors’ Day Parade in Toronto.

A Veteran may be identified by presenting a Brampton Transit “War Veteran Pass” or any of the following items:

  • Medals
  • Berets
  • Uniform
  • Blazer
  • By producing a “War Veteran Pass” or service papers

This year’s Warriors’ Day Parade marks the 104th celebration and will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the Liberation of the Netherlands. The parade is a long-standing tradition, first held in 1921, recognizing the service of Veterans, active military personnel, their families and the public.

Brampton City Council and Brampton Transit continue to honour the accomplishments and sacrifices of Canadian Armed Forces members through the Brampton Transit Veteran Pass Program. Veterans living in Brampton can ride Brampton Transit for free by showing their valid Brampton Transit Veteran Pass upon boarding.
