ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS WORKSHOP FOR TSR/OLA/UBER TAXI & SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS CUM ATTENDANTS AT CHANDIGARH TRAFFIC PARK

Chandigarh Traffic Police Road Safety Awareness Team consisting of DSP Traffic (R&D) Jaswinder Singh, Inspector Jaspal Singh with ASI Rajinder Singh, Sr Ct Rajeev & Hc Jagroop Singh conducted road safety awareness workshop to aware TSR/OLA & UBER TAXI & BUS Drivers about the importance of ROAD SAFETY making special awareness emphasis about following topics:
MAKE CHANDIGARH HONK FREE
WEAR UNIFORM WHILE DRIVING
SCHOOL DRIVERS ABOUT STRAPS POLICY
RIGHTS OF PEDESTRIAN AND IMPORTANCE OF ZEBRA CROSSING”
Besides this awareness about the safety measures to be taken while driving and while picking & dropping off passengers and school children. They were also made aware of the Amendments made in the MV Act 1988, CMVR 1989 and Motor Vehicle Driving Regulation 2017.
Road accident videos were also played during this awareness drive to make them realise that how one person’s hurry or mistake leads to roadside collisions resulting into fatality & serious injuries and how safe and sensible driving keeping due care and caution and following traffic rules can avoid road crashes and save lives on roads. They were also advised to maintain social distancing, wear the proper mask and to wash hands during this Covid-19 pandemic.
